NEW F&B FACES AT MARINA DEL RAY MARRIOTT

Marriott Marina Del Rey Welcomes Kristin Zydzik and Greg Simons

The Marriott Marina Del Rey hotel in Venice Beach, CA, has just announced two new hires.

Kristin Zydzik joins the hotel as its Catering Sales Executive, and Greg Simons is the new Director of Bar and Restaurants. Ms. Zydzik, who has previously held catering positions at the Embassy Suites and Maggiano’s Little Italy (both in Bellevue, WA) and at the Sodexo, Seattle Aquarium, was also a member of the Marriott team from 1997-2005, during which time she earned several prestigious awards for the hotel’s catering program. Ms. Zydzik brings over ten years of catering experience back to the Marriott family, and will oversee all the Marina Del Rey’s catered events.

Mr. Simons has also spent a good deal of time working with Marriott, having begun in management in the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort and Spa (Palm Springs, CA) right after graduating from college. After that position, he was promoted to General Manager of the Costas Nightclub, also in Desert Springs, with spectacular results. Following this triumph, Mr. Simons will take the helm of both Glow–the popular LA nightclub–and Stones–the acclaimed LA restaurant–as the Bar and Restaurant Manager for the Marina Del Rey.
